Port Sunlight Village was originally built by William Lever to house the workers of his nearby soap factory, Lever Brothers. William Lever had a strong sense of social responsibility and created a village with architecturally interesting buildings, open green spaces and tree-framed vistas to make Port Sunlight an uplifting place to live and work.
